A major PSU sought to replace the traditional, pen-and-paper method of tracking roadwork progress with a more real-time digital solution that could streamline monitoring.
We installed AIS 140 GPS devices in all vehicles involved in roadworks, mapping each device to specific roads or packages to ensure accurate location tracking.
A unified platform was developed, allowing authorities to monitor roadwork progress in real-time.
We incorporated geo-fencing technology, setting virtual boundaries to ensure the vehicles stayed within authorized areas, improving the precision of the data being tracked.
The solution has been adopted by 9 RRDAs across India, significantly improving how roadwork progress is tracked and reported. With GPS-enabled vehicles, authorities now receive accurate, real-time data along with comprehensive road history reports. Supported by Headsup’s Tech Advisory Services, this has led to better transparency, improved contractor accountability and more informed decision-making.
